SBM – KAPSARC – SOCIAL RECRUITMENT CAMPAIGN

King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center is as an independent, non-profit institution that focuses on research in energy economics, policy, technology, and the environment. It was established by King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia as an element of the broader theme of reform in the region and emphasizes the openness, equality, and diversity of gender, nationality, and backgrounds—in a manner similar to the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology.
SBM was awarded the KAPSARC smart infrastructure project, with one of its mandate to hire 250 Saudi engineers with specific credentials for 7 jobs related to the field of IT. The social recruitment campaign for SBM KAPSARC was launched across Social media channels such as facebook & linkedin, a dedicated microsite was launched to promote the campaign, with publications on other job offering web portals & newspapers. The campaign gained immense popularity amongst the target audience and around 400 job applications were received out of which 300 were very qualified & eligible for the jobs at the SBM. Further, a boot camp was organised for all the credible candidates to have live walk in interviews for the available jobs. The SBM – KAPSARC campaign turned out to be a textbook example of how recruiting and finding the right employee for the right job can be effortless yet impactful.
